No. You can study as a guest — everything stays in your own browser and nothing is sent to a server. Signing in with Google is optional and adds automatic sync.
As a guest: locally, in your browser’s storage on your device — clear your browser data and it’s gone, so use Export for backups. Signed in with Google: your decks, notes, and images are also saved to HopQuiz’s servers so they follow you across devices.
Yes — sign in with Google on each device and your decks, notes, images, and settings sync automatically. As a guest, use Export on one device and Import on the other.
Open a deck and press Share (or use Share decks in Settings). On supported devices this opens your share sheet; otherwise the deck is copied to your clipboard as a file you can send. Your friend imports it with the Import button. You can also publish a deck to Explore for anyone to import.
Three: flip cards you grade yourself, multiple-choice cards with wrong answers you write (or auto-fill from the deck), and type-the-answer cards checked automatically. Any card can have an image, a hint, and math notation from the √π formula palette.
Paste a YouTube link into the Music section of the right rail to embed a player, or connect your Spotify account. Spotify Premium plays right inside HopQuiz; free Spotify accounts get an embedded player instead.
HopQuiz uses a light spaced-repetition system. Correct answers push a card’s next review further out (1 day, 2 days, 4 days, and so on); a miss makes it due again right away.
Yes — Settings offers matched theme packs plus fully custom text, accent, and background colours, a dark mode, and you can adjust your daily goal, timer lengths, and the desk cat.
Settings → Your data → Delete all data. This permanently removes your decks, tasks, notes, images, and history from this browser — and, if you’re signed in, from HopQuiz’s servers too.
